Back-friendly room furnishings – unfortunately still far too rare!

Our aim: back-friendly hotels!

Many business travellers know the problem: every night in a different hotel, a different room, a different bed. There will usually be plenty of facilities and entertainment provided, with a pool, sauna and TV. Normally, hotel guests won't go hungry either. Only their backs or sleeping problems fail to get the attention they need!

Meanwhile the first hotels are already offering their guests "back-friendly" accommodation. This means that the bed and other furnishings consist of back-friendly furniture, including standing desks, upholstered furniture, additional beds, office chairs etc. Correspondingly equipped hotels even offer back-friendly bicycles.

The AGR audits hotels - according to professionally defined minimum standards - to assess their furnishings, awarding the "AGR Hotel Seal of Approval". When booking a room, ask whether it is "AGR-tested and recommended" – your back will be grateful!

At present, this project is still in the starting phase, so that there are only a few hotels right now that fulfil all the minimum requirements.
